This figure represents a 15.7 percent increase from 2012, and a 1 percent increase in market share. Hyundai Kia Motors ranked third in the hybrid sales category, followed Toyota and Ford.
Unlike the US, sales of hybrid automobiles by Hyundai and Kia in the domestic market have performed poorly, down 26 percent compared to 2012. 495,685 hybrid automobiles were sold in the US last year. The top 3 sellers were Toyota Prius Liftback, Camry Hybrid, and Prius C. The Sonota Hybrid was ranked seventh.
