Selected for 3 Consecutive Years
Samsun Electronics’ robot cleaner POWERbot has been named the best vacuum cleaner of the year by the American consumer magazine Consumer Reports.
According to industry sources on Jan. 12, Consumer Reports evaluated 51,000 cleaners purchased between 2008 and 2018, and Samsung’s POWERbot (model name: R7065) was the only Korean-made robotic vacuum cleaner to rank first. Consumer Reports comprehensively evaluated the suction power, convenience, and noise of the vacuum cleaners and selected the best vacuum cleaner in seven product categories.
The POWERbot was selected for its excellent ability to remove dust on carpets and floors and clean narrow corners using its rectangular bumpers. Consumer Reports evaluated products over the past decade, and the 2017 model of the POWERbot was chosen as the best in the category.
The POWERbot made Consumer Reports' annual best vacuum cleaner list in 2016 and 2017.
In addition, Shark swept three categories of upright type, stick type, and hand type. Millet took first place in dustbag-mounted canisters and general canisters.
