E-commerce Sales on Steep Growth Curve

WeMakePrice says the number of products with daily sales of more than 100 million won (US$89,413) stood at 2,083 last year.

South Korean e-commerce company WeMakePrice announced on Jan. 7 that the number of products with daily sales of more than 100 million won (US$89,413) stood at 2,083 last year.

In particular, 831 of them were big hit products that had sales of over 200 million won (US$178,826). The figures showed a rapid growth for a year compared to 318 products with daily sales of more than 100 million won (US$89,413) and 96 products with over 200 million won (US$178,826) sales in 2017. The number of partner companies that recorded sales of more than 100 million won (US$89,413) a day also increased from 46 in January to 108 in December last year.

WeMakePrice expects that more partner companies will post over 100 million won (US$89,413) a day this year. An official from the company said, “For three days until Jan. 3, 18 partner companies had daily sales of more than 100 million won (US$89,413). When the current trend continues, more than 300 partner firms will be able to achieve 100 million won (US$89,413) of daily sales in January alone.”
