LG Electronics announced on December 31 that it would launch a notebook weighing less than 1 kg, named “Gram,” which has a 13.3 inch display and weighs in at exactly 980g.

The notebook was manufactured using a technology specifically geared for ultra-light designs and is equipped with of a 13.3-inch display.  Yet it only weighs as much as two takeout cups of coffee.  It is 13.6mm thick, with a left and right bezel measuring 4.4mm.
 
The display is full-HD (1920x1080) with an IPS panel. The chipset is a 4th generation Intel Haswell, with an HD4400 for graphics.  It also has a micro SD memory slot, increasing external storage to 64GB.  The price will vary from 1.7 million won (US$1,613) to 2 million won (US$1,898), based on the hardware specifications.
