A 300-bed smart hospital in Moscow

Seoul National University (SNU) Bundang Hospital announced on Dec. 28 that it has signed an agreement with the Moscow International Medical Cluster on its participation in the construction and operation of a 300-bed smart hospital in Moscow.

A signing ceremony was held in Moscow on Dec. 26 with the attendance of Jheon Sang-hoon, director of SNU Bundang Hospital, and Sergey Sobyanin, mayor of Moscow and other related officials.

The Korean-style smart hospital, to be built in Skolkovo International Medical Cluster in Moscow, is in accordance with the Korea-Russia summit agreement reached in June this year, and will be modeled on SNU Bundang Hospital, which is located in Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province,

SNU Bundang Hospital has opened an office within the special medical zone to make preparations for the hospital project.

"We will provide SNU Bundang Hospital’s world-class medical technology and operation know-how to the smart hospital in Moscow,” said Jheon Sang-hoon, director of the hospital. SNU Bundang Hospital plans to transplant its medical information system and operation model in the Moscow hospital.

Jheon said negotiations on the hospital construction schedule and the size of its investment will be concluded by March next year.
