LG Electronics will apply its operating system for smart home appliances to advanced dashboards and head-up displays in vehicles in a bid to enter the future mobility market.

According to the electronics industry analysts on Dec. 23, Swiss software company Luxoft will demonstrate its autonomous navigation and connected mobility technology based on Web OS, an operating system from LG Electronics, in the CES 2019. Luxoft plans to demonstrate ease-of-use infotainment and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) running on LG's Web OS at its booth in the CES 2019.

"We plan to introduce technology that combines Web OS with autonomous vehicles based on our strategic alliance with LG Electronics," a Luxoft official said. “We plan to apply the technology to digital cockpits in automobiles such as infotainment and navigation systems."

LG Electronics and Luxoft are planning to extend their cooperation to robots and smart homes as well as next-generation cars.
