Hanwha Q Cells Q.PEAK installed in Tongshan City, Hubei, China.

Hanhwa Q Cells announced on Nov. 15 that it will supply high-power solar modules to the solar power plant construction project carried out by China General Nuclear Power Corp. (CGN), a state-run nuclear power company in China.

The project includes building a large-scale solar power plant in Tongshan City, Hubei for two months from this month to the end of this year. Hanwha Q Cells will supply Q.PEAK, a high-power single crystal module with capacity size of 100MW.

CGN is China's largest nuclear power company established in 1994 and operates 20 nuclear power plants as of the end of last year. It started solar power generation in 2009 and now runs a solar power plant with a total capacity of 1.72GW.

Meanwhile, Hanwha Q Cells has supplied about 400MW solar modules to CGN, including the ones in this project. Last July, the company signed an agreement to supply Q.PEAK to a 66MW program run by CGN.
