Building Reputation in Oceania

Taihan Electric Wire landed a US$40-million 132kV power grid project from Ausgrid, the largest power company in Australia.

Taihan Electric Wire announced on October 11 that the company landed a US$40-million 132kV power grid project from Ausgrid, the largest power company in Australia. The turnkey contract will commission Taihan Electric Wire to implement the whole process from power network design to cable and cable joint production, connection and civil engineering work and tests.

The project belongs to the work to replace old underground cables with new ones in the Sydney area. Taihan Electric Wire successfully completed projects of the same nature in 2016 and 2017.

The successful completion of the 2016 and 2017 projects earned KEPCO a key partner status in the Strategic Partner Summit 2018, an event organized by Ausgrid, in June.

Taihan Electric Wire is cementing its leading position in Oceania while carrying out the construction of a 220kV power grid for the New Zealand Power Authority. The company received the order for about US$18 million from New Zealand in the first half of this year.
