Innovative but Budget Smartphone

Samsung Electronics will sequentially release Galaxy A7s with triple camera starting from the beginning of October.

Samsung Electronics is planning to release the Galaxy series with a “triple-lens camera” following the Galaxy A series, a low-priced smartphone series, in early October.

LG Electronics' V40 ThinQ and Huawei’s Mate 20 series will also be released in the same month, showing that the triple camera phone has become popular within six months since its launch in April.

Samsung Electronics also plans to launch the world's first quad-camera (four rear cameras) phones on October 11, indicating that the competition for camera evolution is expected to continue.

On September 20, Samsung Electronics announced that it will sequentially release Galaxy A7s with a triple-lens camera starting from the beginning of October. This is the first time for the company to apply innovative features to the low-priced Galaxy A series before the premium series. The move is seen as a strategy to overtake Chinese companies such as Huawei and Xiaomi that are rapidly expanding their market share.

The three rear cameras of the Galaxy A7 are composed of 24, 5, and 8 million pixels respectively. The phone can capture the scene that the user sees using an 800-megapixel camera with an angle of 120 degrees, which is the same as the user’s angle of view. Moreover, with a 24-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras, users can adjust the bokeh effect to make the subject sharp and blur the background.

The 24-megapixel front camera has a Pro Lighting function that can illuminate the left, right, or front sides of the figure, which allow users to take selfies of which the quality is like the photo shot in a professional studio.

In addition, it provides 18.5 to 9 aspect ratio Infiniti display, fingerprint sensor on the sides of the phone, and face recognition. The phone comes in four colors of blue, black, gold, and pink. The price is expected to be around 400 to 500 thousand won.

Provided that the dual-camera was dominant in the market up to the first half of this year, triple camera is expected to lead the market in the second half as a number of companies, on top of Samsung Electronics, are planning to release new triple camera products. The triple camera was first unveiled in last April through P20 Pro, a flagship phone that Huawei released for the first half of the year. With the name of world 's first triple camera phone, P20 Pro was selling like hot cakes around the world.

Meanwhile, on October 4, LG Electronics is launching V40 ThinQ, which has a triple front dual camera. Huawei, which had showed off the world's first triple camera, is also installing the triple camera in its October flagship phone Mate 20 Pro. In addition, Samsung Electronics is planning to reveal the new Galaxy A series, which is the world's first quad camera phone, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 11th next month.
