On September 11, KT signed a business agreement with Ascend Care for digital healthcare business in Russia. Ascend Care is a digital healthcare company covering Russia and European countries.

According to the agreement, the two companies are going to start joint business in the Russian digital healthcare market next year after market research activities.

To that end, KT is going to support local marketing and provide medical examination solutions based on advanced information and communications technology and Ascend Care is going to help KT supply its digital healthcare solutions in Russia.

“We have worked with a number of government agencies, medical institutions and solution partners to enter the Eurasian market and our efforts have led to a business opportunity in Russia, which is the largest digital healthcare market in Eurasia,” said KT President Ku Hyun-mo, adding, “Based on the agreement, we will further speed up overseas market penetration.”
