Blockchain Seoul Summit to be held Sept. 16-19

"Blockchain Seoul" will be held Sept.16-19 to discuss the development of blockchain technology and regulator issues.

Top officials of the world's seven major blockchain cities will gather in Seoul to discuss the development of blockchain technology and rational regulatory measures.

The “Blockchain Seoul 2018 -- B7·CEO Summit,” which is supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and sponsored by the Fourth Industrial Revolution Forum of the National Assembly, will be held at COEX in Seoul from September 16 to 19.

The “Blockchain Seoul 2018 -- B7 CEO Summit” to be held on August 17 will be attended by the CEOs of seven main net developers who are aiming to be a next-generation blockchain platform following Bitcoin and Etherium. Kathryn Brightman, CEO of Tezos, and Don Song, CEO of Oasis Labs, will talk about the direction of blockchain development and technology trajectory.

At the “Block-chain Seoul 2018 -- B7 Summit” to be held on August 18, officials from seven blockchain cities will discuss ways to foster blockchain technology and regulatory issues. A blockchain city refers to a project that builds a variety of social facilities and systems based on blockchain. Participants include Cecilia Muller Chen, director of the Swiss Crypto Valley Association, and Asse Sauga, president of the Estonian Cryptocurrency Association, and officials from Lithuania and Malta.

The “Blockchain Expo” will showcase blockchain projects being promoted by companies, governments, and local governments. The expo will consist of a registration area where visitor can make Etherium wallets, a blockchain app experience zone, and a blockchain-based smart government experience zone. Participants can receive free blockchain tokens from each booth through the Etherium wallets created at the venue. This will encourage interest and participation in blockchain projects.

In addition, various other events such as a job fair for blockchain companies, blockchain hackathon, blockchain legal counseling, and project meet-ups are held.

A Seoul Summit official said, "Through this event, we can experience blockchain technology that creates a revolution in daily life. By holding the Crypto Valley Summit and CEO Summit on a regular basis, we will set up a forum where governments and companies can share policies and opinions efficiently."
