Sponsorship for European Football Teams

Hyundai Motor will sponsor top-division professional football league teams in five European countries -- France, the UK, Spain, Germany and Italy.

Hyundai Motor announced on July 24 that the Korean automaker would sponsor the football club AS Roma in the Italian soccer league Serie A and the Hertha BSC Berlin in the German football league Bundesliga as a global automotive partner.

Thanks to the signing of the deals with the two teams, Hyundai will sponsor professional football teams in five European countries including the Chelsea FC in the English Premier League (EPL), the Atletico Madrid in the Spainish La Liga and the Olympique Lyonnais in the French league.

Hyundai Motor secured the right to use its company logo on the backs of the uniforms of AS Roma players and on the sleeves ofthe uniforms of Hertha BSC Berlin by 2021. In addition, the Seoul-based global carmaker plans to actively inform Italian and German soccer fans of its brand by setting up billboards instadiums anddisplaying its cars in their home stadiums.
