WeMakePrice said on July 4 that the company launched an undisclosed special offer service called 'Hidden Price' that does not reveal prices to the outside but offers prices 20% lower than the lowest prices at internet shopping malls.
Hidden Price products would not disclose their prices on the website of WeMakePrice, explained a representative of WeMakePrice. Customers can not check prices of Hidden Price products on price comparison websites such as Enuri.Com. Instead, the Hidden Price Service sends separate connection links to consumers who want to buy Hidden Price products and then allow them to purchase them through the links.
In this process, only users that receive such links are able to check prices. An advantage of Hidden Price is that it pioneered a new sales channel for partner companies reluctant to mark down prices due to their concern over a drop in their brand value.
WeMakePrice sold four selected items each day for 24 hours only through Hidden Price from July 1 to 3 and sales of Queenmade Wireless Cleaner topped 60 million won for one day on July 2. The figure swelled six-folds from the maximum group buying amount of 10 million won. The price was 67% lower than the normal market price and it paid off handsomely.
WeMakePrice plans to double the number of Hidden Price items from four a day.
