Digital Music

Samsung Music will expand its service to Korea and Latin America after its launch in 32 countries in Europe and the Middle East in May last year. As a result, an intense competition between Samsung, Melon, and Google Play Music is expected.

Samsung Electronics announced on November 2 that it will provide its high-quality digital music services in Korea. Samsung Music offers both music and various multimedia content including videos, books, games, and learning materials, via digital content platforms that are optimized for Samsung smartphones. The music service is available in the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 LTE-A, Galaxy Round, Galaxy Note II, and Galaxy S3.

Samsung Music retains 320,000 digital songs, including those of global digital music distributors and local indie labels, and allows both streaming and downloading of the music. Samsung Electronics is confident that those songs will meet music lovers’ high standards, since the quality of its digital music is 4 times better than that of CDs.
