Seoul Hospital Accepts Cryptocurrency for Medical Services.

KMP Health Care Seoul announced on June 4 that the hospital would provide medical services to customers who pay in cryptocurrency.

KMP Health Care Seoul is located on the 10th and 11th floors of Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul. It is a hospital that provides outpatient treatment, premium VIP health check-ups, stem cell treatment and skin cosmetic surgery for Korean and foreign patients.

"With the aim of introducing medical services to patients of various classes and overseas patients by utilizing the latest blockchain technology, KMP Health Care Seoul has built a system to take LCGCs (Life Care Global Coins issued by GCM) instead of cash," the clinic said.

Customers who want to pay for medical expenses with LCGCs is required to join the LCGC exchange, Coingenes, create electronic wallets at the exchange, and visit KMP Health Care Seoul with LCGCs in their electronic wallets.

In order to solve the problem of delays in P2P transactions of cryptocurrencies, KMP Health Care Seoul decided to accept transactions through electronic wallets at the exchange that deals with LCGCs only for the time being. In addition, medical service fees that can be paid through virtual currencies can cover medical cost for those who own virtual currencies themselves.

"We plan to continue expanding our services and technology platform to enable many people in Korea to enjoy excellent medical services and help overseas patients easily access Korean medical services," the hospital said.
