SK Telecom announced on May 29 that the company would develop next-generation security solutions by partnering with Hanwha Techwin.

Under the agreement, the two companies will develop next-generation CCTV solutions based on SK Telecom's intelligent security solution T View and Hanwha Techwin's CCTV hardware production capability by utilizing core AI technology deep learning.

SK Telecom’s T View is an intelligent video service that provides real-time intrusion detection, the automatic improvement of images in bad weather and nighttime, and the storage of images in cloud systems after image encryption. In particular, T View can safely store images on a cloud server.

The application of AI technology to existing security solutions empowers CCTVs to identify abnormal signs on their own. Hanwha Techwin is recognized for its technological prowess not only in Korea but abroad by developing excellent video security products and solutions as a visual security company.

The two companies plan to develop 5G security services including the development of ultra-high-resolution cameras loaded with 5G communication modules in the future.
