SM Line, a Korean oceangoing shipping company, has launched its second US route.

The shipping company announced on May 17 that it held a ceremony at Pusan New Port Co. (PNC) to mark the launch of the second Pacific Northwest Service (PNS), with the participation of officials from shipping-related organizations and major domestic corporate customers.

The 7PNS route is SM Line’s second US route following the China Pacific Express (PCX) route, its first US route launched last year. A total of six 4,300-TEU ships will operate on the new route, making port calls in Yantian, Ningbo and Shanghai of China, Busan, Vancouver of Canada, Seattle of the US, Tokyo, Busan, Gwangyang of Korea and Yantian.

SM Line expects the new PNS route to provide its customers with better services.
