An Asiana Airlines plane crashed into a Turkish Airlines jet on a taxiway at Istanbul Airport on May 13, with no casualties reported so far.

The accident took place as the Asiana A330 plane taxied to its gate on the runway of the Istanbul International Atatürk Airport, when its wing hit the Turkish Airlines A321’s tail, causing severe damage and a fire on the Turkish plane.

Though no injuries have been reported so far, the cancellation of the flight caused inconveniences to 222 passengers on board of the Asiana plane.

Video footage shared by the local media shows the Turkish Arline plane parked closer to the taxiway than other planes, around 30 meters short of its intended parking point.

Passengers on the flight have been provided with hotel accommodation, with the cause of the accident currently under investigation, according to Asiana Airlines.
