Going Abroad Together
The Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) participated in the 2018 Hanover International Industry Fair held in Hanover, Germany, for 5 days from April 23 (local time) last month with outstanding small and medium-sized Korean companies in the electric power industry.
"We discussed export deals amounting to a total of US$ 33 million in meetings with foreign buyers at the fair," KEPCO said on May 1. KEPCO introduced products of ten cooperative small and medium-sized Korean enterprises to overseas buyers by opening an exhibition booth jointly with the Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association.
"KEPCO is actively supporting the advancement of technologically savvy small and medium-sized companies with low brand awareness into overseas markets," said Hwang Gwang-soo, acting head of the Office of Support for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Start-ups at KEPCO.
KEPCO will hold export promotion events in Asia, Latin America, Cambodia, the Philippines, Turkey, Jordan and Argentina starting next month. At this year's Hannover Industry Fair, a total of 5,160 companies from 77 countries took part. Among them, 97 were Korean companies.
