Nokia Joins Tizen Group Led by Samsung, Intel

Nokia will be participating in the Tizen OS team led by Samsung Electronics and Intel. 

On November 12, Nokia’s Twitter account expressed enthusiasm that its official map application, “Here,” would be compatible with Tizen OS, and about becoming a part of the Tizen map and function development team.

At the “Tizen Developers Summit” held at the Seoul Ritz-Carlton Hotel on November 11, Nokia’s representative gave a presentation about the company’s official map application, Here, and its Tizen OS SDK. The presentation outlined the possibilities of mapping using Tizen.
