Next-gen UHD Tablet
Japan-based Panasonic revealed the world’s first UHD tablet PC. On November 8 (local time), Panasonic announced its plans to release the 4K UHD screen tablet PC, the “Toughpad UT-M85,” early next year.
As the name “Toughpad” suggests, this is a sturdy product for business use. It is water and dust proof with Windows 8.1 for Desktop installed. It is 12.5mm thick and weighs 2.35kg. That may sound big for a tablet PC, but considering its screen size of 20 inches diagonally, it’s actually quite light.
This product has a resolution of 3840x2560 pixels. This is better than a 4K UHD (3840x2160), the next-generation TV format. It has a pixel density of 230 ppi. Its picture ratio is 15 by 10.
