The International Electric Vehicle Expo announced on April 4 that this year’s Global EV Association Network (GEAN) conference takes place on May 1 at Lotte Hotel Jeju. The conference is scheduled to be attended by the CEOs of electric vehicle manufacturers from more than 20 countries and a number of related international organizations.

This year’s GEAN conference is chaired by former Yuhan Kimberly Chairman Moon Kuk-hyun. The keynote address will be delivered by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) President James Shannon and the presenters include leading members of Chinese, Danish and Thai EV associations.

The conference is divided into a board meeting, the GEAN EV Workshop and a general meeting. The GEAN EV Workshop is open to the general public so that today’s global EV industry trends can be shared with everyone.

“The GEAN, which is headquartered in Jeju, was formed so that the International Electric Vehicle Expo can become what is comparable to the Davos Forum in the global EV industry,” said GEAN co-chair Kim Dae-hwan, adding, “This year, the IEC, Vietnam, Myanmar, Singapore and Malaysia are scheduled to accede to the GEAN and the members will work more closely with one another.”
