An increasing number of consumers are complaining about battery swelling in Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy line of smartphones. The company is refusing to exchange defective products for new ones due to the lapse of the warranty period. Also, phones with display panel defects have been exchanged only after strong complaints even within the warranty period, so customers mention that Samsung’s after-sales service is being provided without any principles.

According to some articles posted on Internet communities, customers are experiencing inconveniences from swelling batteries that hinder charging. Some of them are saying that they have failed to get their products exchanged due to the six-month warranty period.

The complaints are revolving around the users of the Galaxy S3, which was released about a year and a half ago. Samsung Electronics has recently extended the warranty from six months to one year.
