The 2014 Hyundai Motors’ premium mid-size vehicle “i40” goes on sale starting on November 5. Hyundai explained its 2014 i40 maximizes customer satisfaction with the best specifications for convenience and affordable prices.

For wagon models, the PYL trim increases the price by 150K won and can be purchased for 27.15 million won (US$25,525). D-spec trims increase the price by 250K, making it 30.25 million won (US$28,439). For sedan models, the PYL and D-spec trim each increase the price by 150K and 250K, selling for 26.15 million won (US$24,607) and 29.45 million won (US$27,687). For diesel models, an additional 1.7 million won (US$1,599) is charged.

Unlike the minimal rise in prices, its specifications have increased dramatically. For wagon models, a “smart tailgate system” for domestic parking spaces has been added. This allows the tailgate (trunk) to open if someone with the smart key waits 3 seconds within 1m of the vehicle’s rear, making loading more convenient.

Also, the latest telematics services have been added, which allow remote starting, parking spot location, door opening, and door closing, all via cell phone. The service, called “blue rink,” maximizes convenience for a driver with the right IT devices.
