LG has made the top 30 corporate reputation list in the United States, outpacing Samsung, Apple and Sony.

According to the Harris Poll Reputation Quotient 2018 released by U.S. pollster Harris Poll on March 17, LG ranked 25th on the Harris Poll Reputation Quotient 2018 list with a score of 78.92.

LG placed 41st on the list with a score of 75.32 in 2016 and fell spots to round out the top 100 last year. However, the company’s ranking shoot up this year, surpassing Google, Apple and Sony, which came in 28th, 29th and 31st. It also outpaced Samsung by a big margin.

Samsung ranked 35th with a score of 77.56 this year, moving up from 49th with a score of 75.17 a year earlier. However, the company showed a relatively poor performance considering the fact that it made the top 10 for the third consecutive year from 2014 to 2016.

Hyundai Motor, which ranked 48th, beating Samsung by a head last year, plunged to 56th this year with a score of 72.69.

Amazon.com held on to the No. 1 spot for a third year in a row, followed by U.S. supermarket chain Wegmans and electric car producer Tesla.

Harris Poll surveyed 25,800 U.S. adult consumers from December last year to January this year and ranked firms based on corporate social responsibility, preference and corporate vision.
