Crystal Sound OLED
LG Display announced on March 18 that it displays various OLED lighting products and technologies at Light & Building 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany, which takes place from March 18 to 23.
LG Display’s exhibits include CSO lighting products. Recently, the company applied crystal sound OLED (CSO) to lighting for the first time in the world so that lighting fixtures can generate sounds like speakers.
This technology is characterized by an OLED panel being used as a vibration plate and vibrating to generate sounds. LG Display recently applied this technology to LG OLED TVs.
Its exhibits also include window blinds and wallpapers incorporating OLED lighting technology. It displays flexible and transparent shelves and vehicle tail lights using OLED lighting technology, too.
