Samsung Electronics Co. launched its flagship line of 2018 QLED TVs and AV products at the 2018 First Look New York event at the American Stock Exchange building in Manhattan on March 7 (local time). The company unveiled its future vision of TVs and flagship products to about 800 attendees including global media and major customers.

At the event, Samsung Electronics revealed 16 models of this year’s four series – Q6F, Q7F, Q8F and Q9F – with a size of 49 to 88 inches.

This year, Samsung strengthened its mega display QLED TV lineups by featuring more than 75 inches of displays in all series. Based on them, the company plans to expand its business to the mega display market in earnest. The demand of TVs equipped with over 75-inch displays grows 30 to 40 percent every year and the figures is expected to increase to 2 million units this year. Samsung Electronics sold one out of the two such TVs as of last year.

In addition, Samsung Electronics’ 2018 QLED TVs provide real-time information, including weather and news, when consumers are not watching TVs, ambient mode that showcases contents, like paintings and pictures, with background music, “One Visible Connection that merges power cord and data cables into one durable transparent cord, as well as improve the value of lifestyle TVs with artificial intelligence-based voice-recognition platform “Bixby.”
