Hyundai Merchant Marine will become the first global shipping company to introduce a next-generation system based on cloud.

On March 5, Hyundai Merchant Marine announced that the company is planning to maximize the effects of applying cloud services to next-generation systems along with business process innovation with the aim of the introduction of the innovation in 2020.

Through this, it is expected that these changes will enable the shipping company to increase employees’ and customers’ satisfaction about the new system such as high speed and stronger stability and save the company a lot of cost.

In addition, this system can be applied more easily to the introduction of major new technology related to the fourth industry revolution such as Blockchain, the IoT (the internet of things) and big data which are spreading through the shipping and logistics industries recently.
