Cheil Worldwide was assessed as the 15th advertising company in the world in the creative rankings based on its global advertising awards. In Asia, the company is leading the global advertising market by forming a two-runner race with Dentsu of Japan.
According to the industry on March 5, Cheil Worldwide ranked 15th on the list of the most recently announced creative agency networks released by Gunn Report, a global advertising industry evaluation report. Cheil Worldwide and Dentsu (13th) in Japan were Asia’s only two top 20 advertisers in the rankings. In particular, in the evaluation, Cheil Worldwide chalked up the highest-ever position this year. Cheil Worldwide made the top 20 for the first time as a domestic advertising company, ranking 19th on the list in 2015, and has made it to the top 20 for the third consecutive year.
Gunn Report announces creative rankings of advertising companies, campaigns, brands, and countries based on the achievements of roughly 40 world-renowned advertising festivals each year. They are used as an important indicator of creative capabilities in the global ad industry.
Cheil Worldwide won 123 awards (bronze prizes or higher) at major international festivals, including 11 awards at the Cannes Lions, the world’s most authoritative advertisement festival, last year, and winning the largest number of prizes at the One Show Advertisement Festival and Spikes Asia. Its representative campaigns are one for JBL's 'Block Out The Chaos' by its Hong Kong corporation and the UNIQLO 'Heat Tech Window' campaign by the head office. These two works were selected side by side in the "Creative Campaign Top 100" selected by Gunn Report.
Cheil Worldwide produced a judge for the Cannes Lions and held Cannes Seminar presenting insights to ad industry workers around the world for 10 consecutive years until last year.
