K-water announced on March 2 that it will form a task force team with 10 small and mid-size venture firms in the domestic water industry to enter the Vietnamese smart water management market and participate in the 2018 Vietnam International Water Week (VIWW) from March 3 to March 8.

The 10 small and mid-size venture companies include Dongwoo Engineering Co., Mirae E&I Co., Samsung Instrument Co., Samjin Precision Co., Scotra Co, USOL Co., EcoEnergy Solutions Inc., Fieldsolution Co. and Hydronet Co. and Hitec EPC Co.

At the event, K-water will introduce advanced water management technologies, including “smart water management” solutions, to the Vietnamese water market and help the task force team expand its overseas markets.

Smart water management ranges monitoring of water resources, management of flood disaster, and improvement of water flow rates and smart water purification plants to water and energy nexus technologies.

K-water will hold a business conference for 100 Vietnamese buyers on the 3rd, a day before the VIWW. It will help the 10 small and mid-size venture firms promote their products and sign export contracts with new buyers. It will also take part in “Water EXPO” for two days from the 4th to the 5th and run its promotion hall with a theme of smart water management in cooperation with the venture companies in order to introduce their water management technologies and solutions.

During a visit to Vietnam, K-water is planning to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with three Vietnamese water management agencies, including National Centre for Resources Planning and Investigation, Vietnam Water Supply and Sewage Association and Ninh Binh Water Supply and Sewerage Co., for Vietnam’s smart water management pilot project.

Vietnam’s smart water management pilot project is co-funded by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and K-water to help domestic small and mid-size water companies to break into the Vietnamese water market.
