Hanmi Global Co. announced on Feb. 8 that it has published the second English edition of Sustainable Buildings and Infrastructure, a book that provides the trend of the global eco-friendly construction market as well as includes case studies, best practices and highlights of sustainability in the construction industry.

The environmentally friendly construction book was published in not only English-speaking countries, such as the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia, but also South Korea at the same time in 2012. Its second edition includes more contents related to eco-friendly project design and implementation than the first one.

In particular, the book introduces the building optimal operating solutions, passive and active and new renewable energy technologies using its green smart integrated systems, building energy management system (BEMS) of the Green Smart Innovation Center in Mabookri run by Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. as a case in South Korea.

It also includes the POSCO Green Building in Songdo, which was jointly established by POSCO Engineering & Construction Co. and Yonsei University, as a future-oriented building with environment-friendly building process innovation that can organically use the process based on advanced energy reduction technologies ranging from design to construction and maintenance. In addition, its Korean edition introduces web portal Naver’s data center as the case that has acquired the LEED-NC v2009 Platinum certification for the first time in the world.
