4WD Car of the Year
SsangYong Motor Company announced on January 22 that its G4 Rexton has been selected as the 4WD Car of the Year in Britain by the 4X4 magazine.
The British magazine, which has a history of 25 years, releases the list of the best AWD vehicles in seven categories each year. The categories are divided into crossover wagon, crossover, small SUV, midsize SUV, large SUV, high performance and luxury SUV, and off-roader. The 4WD Car of the Year is selected among the seven.
The magazine picked out the G4 Rexton as the best off-roader and the most valuable SUV. In addition, the G4 Rexton won the top prize by beating the other top-rated vehicles like Land Rover Discovery, Range Rover, Jeep Renegade, Jeep Wrangler and Skoda Kodiaq. The G4 Rexton is slated to appear on the cover of the February edition of the magazine.
“We are very happy about the news that Britain appreciated the G4 Rexton although the model hit the British market only recently,” said SsangYong Motor President Choi Jong-sik, adding, “We will continue to make efforts to add more models to our product lineup and increase our sales and brand awareness in the global market.”
