LG Electronics announced on January 7 that the company signed a partnership agreement to jointly develop next-generation ADAS integrated solutions with NXP, the world's No. 1 automotive semiconductor company of the US and HELLA Aglaia, a leading ADAS software developer of Germany.

LG Electronics said that the company expected the solutions to empower automakers to comply with increasingly stringent global safety standards beginning in 2020 in the era of autonomous driving.

The trio agreed to commercialize a solution that combines LG's next-generation ADAS camera, image recognition and control algorithm, NXP's high-performance car image processing processor and HELLA Aglaia's ADAS software by 2020.
