Nexen Tire Corp. announced on November 28 that it has established a “business continuity management system (BCMS)” and obtained an international standard certificate “ISO 22301” from global certificate authority Dekra.

The ISO 22301 is an international certificate that evaluates the ability of maintaining and restoring the normal business activities in a very short period of time according to work manual in case of unexpected emergency such as incident and disaster.

Nexen Tire set up the system that enables to recover its core business within a target period when numerous disasters or incidents happen, including earthquake and flood, by building its crisis management system “BCMS.” It is expected to boost confidence in product production as the system allows to stably supply tires to consumers and automakers without production setbacks.

An official from Nexen Tire said, “With the latest achievement of the ISO 22301, the company’s comprehensive crisis management system and business continuity have been internationally recognized. We will continuously provide training and education programs so that our employees can quickly respond to an actual catastrophic situation.”
