The Ministry of Strategy & Finance of South Korea held the fourth Services Sector Promotional Forum with Australia in Brisbane on November 13, discussing the two countries’ cooperation in the infrastructure and service sectors including construction, finance, and legal service. 

The forum was attended by Hwang Gun-il, head of the International Economic Affairs Bureau of the ministry, Australian Trade Minister Steven Ciobo, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea James Choi, and a number of Australian and South Korean entrepreneurs. 

At the forum, South Korea and Australia discussed how to expand their cooperation in the infrastructure sector by combining the former’s construction technology and the latter’s financial services with each other and how more and more South Korean companies will be able to take part in large-scale infrastructure projects to be launched in Australia. 

In addition, they discussed the expansion of their cooperation in the new fields of finance and digital content such as fintech and Asia fund passport, their joint business in different Asian service markets, and more collaboration for the development of the regional service industry.
