Daewoo E&C recently concluded an MOU on building an Artificial Intelligence (AI) IoT smart home with LG U+ and Naver.

An AI IoT smart home is a system that controls the lighting, heating, and household appliances that were controlled by existing smartphones by conveniently setting up interactive AI speakers at home and giving the speakers voice commands. Online services such as shopping, scheduling, and music playback are also available through voice commands.

Big data analysis and deep learning technology are applied to provide users with personalized services by learning their own life patterns. For example, if you say "Play me music", the speaker will say "I'll play your favorite jazz music" and recommend music that is based on genres that you prefer.

The AI IoT smart home service will be applied sequentially from a 'Prugio' apartment complex which will be sold in 2018. Daewoo E&C has applied the home IoT to Prugio since 2016. The builder is leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution by continuously developing construction and IT convergence services such as introducing smart construction technology that integrates information and communication technology to the management of construction and safety at construction sites.

"The three companies that rank highest in each of the three fields will cooperate to provide the best AI IoT smart home service,” said Song Moon-sun, CEO of Daewoo E&C. “We will steadily develop differentiated services by actively combining the Prudential brand with IoT technology."
