LG Electronics has installed the world’s largest organic light-emitting diode (OLED) signage at the Dubai Mall, as recognized by the Guinness World Records.

The company announced on August 13 that the installation at the Dubai Mall features 820 units of 55-inch OLED display panels, with a width of 50 meters and length of 14 meters.

The Guinness World Records recognized the signage at Dubai Mall as the "World’s Largest OLED Screen.” With an estimated combined size of around 700 square meters, the signage is bigger than four volleyball courts put together. It consists of 1.7 billion of pixels and it extends 11 kilometers in length when each pixel is lined up in one file.

The Dubai Mall is the world’s largest shopping mall with 80 million visitors a year and has more than 1200 stores.

The OLED signage display is installed in the top of the mall’s Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo located on the first floor. Visitors can view the aquarium even when they don’t go inside.
