Samsung Electronics is making great efforts to attract Indonesian consumers. Samsung Electronics Indonesia recently released the Galaxy S8+ limited edition with five local artists and designers, including Biyan. At the same time, the company carried out social contribution activities in Indonesia by using the limited edition phones.

The Galaxy S8+ limited edition comes with graffiti drawings and traditional design elements of Indonesia. Samsung Electronics Indonesia donated learning equipment worth 1.2 billion rupiah to local children’s homes after an auction of the limited edition phones.

Specifically, Samsung Learning Corners were installed at 12 child care institutions located in Jakarta, Bekasi, Bogor and so on so that thousands of children can use the learning equipment including Samsung tablet PCs and smart TVs. The corners were prepared by the auction of nine units of the Galaxy S8+ limited edition and additional donation from Samsung Electronics Indonesia.

These days, the Indonesian smartphone market is growing very rapidly while the Chinese smartphone market is slowing down. According to market research firm Strategy Analytics, the latter’s average annual growth is estimated at 1.9% from 2017 to 2022 whereas the former’s for the same period is estimated at 9.8%.
