HanmiGlobal(Chairman Kim Jong-hoon), a leading construction management company, entered the Chilean photovoltaic power generation facility construction management market to become the first South Korean company in the local market.

Specifically, HanmiGlobal is scheduled to provide construction management services in seven photovoltaic power generation facilities in Chile, which are located in Diego de Almagro (9.4 MW), Metropolitana de Santiago (10.2 MW and 8.3 MW), Quinta Valparaiso (6.6 MW), Libertador General Bernardo O Higgins (3.5 MW), San Vicente de Tagua Tagua (9.5 MW), and Talca (10.4 MW).

HanmiGlobal entered the Japanese photovoltaic power generation facility construction management market in 2014. Chile is its second overseas client and HanmiGlobal has become the first construction management company in the new and renewable energy industry of Chile.

The seven solar power generation projects have been launched by Korea Southern Power, S-Energy and a financial investor. S-Energy and the Center for Economic Load Dispatch (CDEC) of Chile are in charge of EPC and electricity sales, respectively. The construction process continues for 14 months and approximately 75 billion won is invested in the projects.

As an experienced construction management service provider, HanmiGlobal is expected to manage the projects in the different regions in a highly efficient way.

“Based on the Chilean market, we will continue to expand our new and renewable energy facility construction management business in Latin America,” said HanmiGlobal Chairman Kim Jong-hoon, adding, “Our overseas energy business expansion will cover a variety of countries around the world.”
