The Genesis brand’s flagship sedan “G90” was recognized by US consumers for its highest quality competitiveness. It is said that the honor is all the more meaningful because less than one year has passed since the launch of the model in the US market.

Hyundai Motor said that the G90 topped the luxury car category in the results of the "Total Quality Impact of 2017," a quality satisfaction survey announced by Strategic Vision of the US on July 20 (local time).

Strategic Vision conducted the survey of 42,000 consumers three months after purchasing new cars about interior and exterior design, performance, durability and seat convenience from July to December. The G90 won 761 points out of 1,000 in the 27-car class survey. The G90 outclassed the BMW 7 Series (721 points) and Lincoln Continental (720 points), taking first place in the luxury car category. In particular, the G90 stood third among all cars in the 27 car classes.

The G90 received 818 points in the recently announced 2017 Vehicle Satisfaction Survey (VSA) of AutoPacific, coming in first in the luxury car segment. The sedan was also awarded a special prize given to a car which recorded the highest points in recognition for its quality competitiveness.

The Genesis brand entered the US market on a full scale in August last year. Industry experts say that a total of 2,143 units of the Genesis brand (including the Equus) were sold in the United States last year, and 2,272 units in the first half of this year. They added that the G90 successfully landed in the US market.
