Samsung Electronics announced on July 19 that the English version of the Bixby Voice is now available for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users in South Korea and the United States. The English version is applied to more than 12 apps on the phones, including Bixby Vision, Samsung Internet, calculator, reminder, gallery, message and camera.

Via the Bixby Labs, it also supports Facebook, Uber and Twitter as well as the Samsung and Google apps including my files, video player, Samsung Note, Samsung Connect, Samsung Pay, Samsung Health, Google Maps, Google Play Music and Google Play Store.

The Bixby Voice can be activated by the Bixby button on the left side of the phone being pressed or a voice command being issued after “Hi Bixby” is uttered.

The Korean version of the same service, which started on May 1, has been used by more than one million users and treated more than 150 million voice commands so far. The Korean service supports banking services, Google Translate, Kakao Talk, Facebook Messenger, etc.
