SK Holdings C&C announced on July 19 that it has released the 2017 Sustainability Report titled "Deep Change” both in Korean and English.

Since it published its first Sustainability Report in 2012, SK Holdings C&C has released the report every year starting from 2014 in order to share information about the company’s transparent management and sustainability activities, such as safety and environmental management and workforce management as well as economic performance with its shareholders. 

In particular, this year’s report contains “happiness value,” which translates the company’s pursuit of shareholders’ happiness into an economic value. The happiness value is calculated by translating benefits created through SK C&C Holdings’ social and environmental activities into monetary value and adding it with financial results from its business activities.

An official from SK C&C Holdings said, “The financial value created by SK C&C Holdings amounts to 641.6 billion won (US$571.07 million) based on the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as of 2016. The happiness value, which was calculated based on suitability management results, totals 856 billion won (US$761.9 million). It means the company created 214.4 billion won (US$190.83 million) worth of social and environmental values.” 

SK C&C Holdings also introduced its main activities and performances in the bio and pharmaceutical, global LNG, semiconductor material module, tech-based ICT and ICT convergence sectors and its activities to secure and promote new ICT talent to lead the fourth industrial revolution as well as activities to its Encar business division’s various activities to respond to climate change.
