Samsung Electronics announced on July 16 that it has released “Air Guard K Phone” together with weather forecast service provider K Weather through SK Telecom. The new smartphone helps users to manage the indoor air quality by measuring it.

The Air Guard K Phone provides the Air Guard K, an indoor air quality measuring instrument developed by K Weather. Users can choose between two smartphones – the Galaxy Note FE and Galaxy A5 launched in 2017. The Air Guard K measures the air quality and automatically operates an air purifier or air conditioner at home when the levels of fine dust and carbon dioxide are high through the app preinstalled in the Air Guard K Phone.

The Air Guard K also accurately measures the level of six other elements which hare closely related to the air quality, including temperature, humidity, noise, carbon dioxide and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

In addition, the Air Guard K Phone, which is powered by Samsung’s own Knox Customization solution for businesses, delivers customized user interfaces including K Weather wallpaper, weather widget and weather apps, improving the convenience of its customers.
