The Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on July 4 that the company successfully delivered all 12 FA-50PH light fighters to the Philippines.

In honor of the delivery, the Philippine Air Force held the 70th Anniversary of the Philippine Air Force Day and Ceremony for the Delivery of the FA-50PH" at Clark Air Base in Angeles.

The event was attended by high-ranking Filipino generals, including Delfin Lorenzana, secretary of national defense of the Philippines and Edgar Fallorina, commander of the Philippine Air Force and military officers from other countries.

Among Korean VIPs were KAI president Ha Sung-yong and Kim Jae-shin, Korean Ambassador to the Philippines. The FA-50PH is a light fighter with advanced air combat equipment and arms for export to the Philippines. The fighter was developed based on the advanced trainer T-50 developed by the KAI in cooperation with Lockheed Martin in the United States.
