KT announced on June 5 that the company picked up two prizes at the 2017 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards. The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, hosted by the Stevie Awards in the United States for countries in the Asia-Pacific region, is an international award for companies and businesspeople that achieved innovative business results. The award program was introduced in 2013 and marks its fourth time this year.

This year, the Asia and Pacific Stevie Awards was held with approximately 800 entries from enterprises, groups and public organization in 15 countries including Korea, Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, the US and Vietnam. The Stevie Awards was held in Tokyo on June 2 this year and about 50 experts from all over the world took part in the event as judges who selected the winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze Prizes.

KT has an in-house broadcasting system called the KT Group Broadcasting Network (KBN). The KBN is watched by over 60,000 viewers a day on average. The network serves as the core of the KT Group’s communications, diffusing management philosophy, realizing internal communication and sharing global trends.

This time, KT nabbed the Gold Prize of Media Promotion Innovation and the Silver Prize of Video Utilization Innovation in recognition of a video work on changes on Naoshima Island in Japan and a technical revolution by artificial intelligence in the contest which KT participated for the first time. .
