Citibank Korea Inc. (CEO Jin-Hei Park) announced on May 29 it has introduced automated teller machines (ATMs) enabling bank account holders to exchange currency as well as deposit and withdraw money in U.S. dollars.

Any won account holders can exchange local currency to U.S. dollars through the ATMs instead of bank tellers.

Using the ATMs, the won account holders can also enjoy higher benefits in terms of the cash exchange rate than visiting the bank teller. The bank users will be offered the preferential rate of 50 to 90 percent by customer segmentation.

Citibank Korea installed the ATMs for foreign exchange transaction in two branches in Seoul first on May 25. It will set up the machines in two more branches in Seoul, and one in Bundang later.
