SK Global Chemical and SK Chemicals, both of which are the SK Group’s chemical affiliates, announced on May18 that they strengthen global marketing by participating in the “Chinaplas 2017” in Guangzhous, Guangdong of China.

SK Global Chemical introduced “Nexlene” and” “EPDM,” both of which are high-performance polyethylene which the company developed in 2010 with its proprietary technology.

SK Chemicals first launched polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified (PETG) composites for vehicles’ interior materials and automotive PCT connectors to the Chinese market. A PCT connector is the application of super engineering plastic PCT that does not suffer deformation even at a high temperature of 230 °C or higher and has strong electrical insulation to a connector for a vehicle.

"We expect this event to become a stepping stone to customer-friendly market development centered on China in the future and be an opportunity for securing Chinese local customers," said Kim Hyung-kun, president of SK Global Chemical

In fact, SK Global Chemical announced its goal of developing new products to meet the needs of local customers by opening the Technology Support and Development Center in Shanghai, China for the first time as a Korean company.
