Korea Hydro Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP) announced that the company opened the “Suppliers Forum” with the Korea Nuclear Association for International Cooperation and the KOTRA Trade Center in Prague of the Czech Republic on April 27.

The forum was participated in by roughly 100 Korean and Czech companies, including KEPCO E&C, Korea Nuclear Fuel Co., Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction, Hyundai Heavy Industries and member companies of the Czech Power Industry Alliance (CPIA) and the Czech Machinery Cluster (CMC).

KHNP introduced a strategy to collaborate with Czech companies in the nuclear industry at this forum, while showing possibilities of collaboration with Czech companies through the operation of an exhibition hall about the Korea nuclear power industry and consultation among enterprises.

In addition, KHNP had detailed discussions to carry forward the new nuclear power plant projects by making contacts with key personnel from the Czech government and industry related to new nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic.

"We will establish strategic partnership with the Czech nuclear industry and will do our best to clinch orders for nuclear power plants from the Czech Republic by effectively informing of the safety and economical efficiency of Korean nuclear power plants," said Lee Kwan-seop, president of KHNP.
