Samsung Medison launched “HS40,” a highly performing, efficient ultrasound diagnosis system on April 17.
As a strategic product for diversification of medical divisions, the HS40 is the first entry-level product equipped with a compact design, a 21.5-inch full high-definition side display and touch screen.
"The HS40 has enabled Samsung Medison to provide a full lineup of medical equipment along with premium products WS80/RS80, high-end HS70/60, middle-end HS50 and popular HS40, Samsung Medison CEO Jun Dong-soo said.on April 17.
Samsung Medison is going to pursue a quantitative growth by focusing on the loe-end market using “HS40.” Jun said, adding, “The HS40, an abbreviation for Hybrid System, has kept multiple functions and improved usability for effective diagnosis."
The medical equipment arm of Samsung Group said the HS40 is optimized for the use of obstetrician diagnosis, allowing doctors to check the health condition of expectant mother and fetus and fit for small and medium-sized hospitals and clinics where few doctors have to meet many patients.
The device has won this year's global iF Design Award in the product design category.
