Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre-sale in South Korea kicked off on April 7. Since then, the company has sold 728,000 units of the Galaxy S8 in just one week in the country. The initially supplied 150,000 units of the Galaxy S8+, which comes with a 6 GB RAM and a 128 GB internal memory, have been sold out.

Samsung Electronics is currently concentrating its marketing resources on overseas markets as well, Chinese in particular, for a long-term success of the phone. In this context, the company has prepared a 128 GB Galaxy S8+ solely for the Chinese market.

In the meantime, the AI assistant Bixby applied to the Galaxy S8 starts its service on May 1. After the Galaxy S8 is officially launched on April 21, customers in South Korea can use three out of the four features of the Bixby consisting of Voice, Vision, Reminder and Home. The Voice feature for voice recognition-based smartphone control and search result display makes its debut on May 1.

Samsung Electronics is planning to complete the language support for it within two months before launching the AI assistant service for customers abroad. The Galaxy S8 is planned to be launched in China in late June.
